6-8 Apr

One of the shortest tracks in the Supercars calendar, Symmons Plains has had its fair share of chaos in recent years and always puts on a spectacle for the Apple Isle fans. The most notable feature of this track is the hairpin at turn four which provides a great passing opportunity as well as being one of the slowest corners in the championship. A good turn here can set drivers up for a great run along the back straight for more passing opportunities. The weekend will see a new three-part qualifying format in place to determine grid positions before two races consisting of a 50-lap, 120km race and a longer 84-lap, 200km race.
